Avocado Tomato Grilled Cheese

i was recently gifted an array of Kerrygold’s best cheeses and couldn’t think of a better way to enjoy them than with grilled cheese sandwiches for each meal (ok perhaps  meals!). I don’t take into account when I began setting fresh tomatoes with a sprinkle of sea salt on my grilled cheese sandwich but it commenced a fashion and now neither the hubs nor I make one without fresh tomatoes (especially summer’s heirloom tomatoes!!!). For an final grilled cheese sandwich, I add a few slices of avocado to the tomatoes.



Substances


  • some slices of your favored cheeses (I used Kerrygold candy cheddar and Dubliner)
  • ½ avocado, sliced
  • 1 tomato, sliced
  • Sea Salt and Pepper to taste
  • four slices of your favored sandwich bread (white, sourdough and so on)
  • 2 tablespoons Kerrygold butter

Instructions


  • unfold about ½ tablespoon butter on one aspect of each slice of bread. on the unbuttered sides of the bread, stack your cheese slices, avocado and tomato. end up with a dash of cracked pepper and salt. Make a sandwich of your slices. On a warm skillet or fry pan, vicinity sandwich, butter facet down, and cook with a lid for three-4 mins or until golden and cheese starts to soften. turn sandwich over and cook for added 2-three mins until golden and cheese has melted.
  • cut in half of and enjoy.
